Weymouth Bay Apartment A Reviews

Amanda
A fabulous place. Everything you need is here. The place has a lovely peaceful vibe. Very comfortable. Located in a great position, close to the sea, gardens, town and the country park. Totally recommend. Stephen the owner is kind, considerate and very helpful.
Melanie
Mr Blake was a very helpful host Lovely accommodation perfect sea view and clean property would definitely stay again
From the minute we arrived before Christmas 2025 we knew what a wonderful apartment we were staying at. A very clean and well presented property that was well heated fortunately as we were in Weymouth for a couple of weeks during a very cold spell. Sykes description of the property was spot on it was comfortable and had all the Facilities required that included a beautiful Christmas Tree. The bottle of wine and biscuits laid on for us were a lovely touch and not expected. An offroad parking space made unloading the car an easy experience being only a short distance from the property. The garden backs straight onto the Promenade and with only one step out from the garden onto the promenade helped as my wife has mobility issues so lifting her Mobility Scooter onto the promenade allowed us to easily go along the promenade into Weymouth. The property was laid out very well for those with mobility issues with access at the front and to the promenade easy to navigate with minimal steps. The Garden was very dog secure so our Yorkshire Terrier was safe and sound and he loved the garden and has been known to escape but no chance here. When leaving he was as disappointed to be leaving as were were. We met the owner Steve whilst we were there and he made us feel very welcome and as he lives locally would have been available to help should we have needed him. I think our only regret was that we have not been to this apartment before but we are booked to return in the future twice and cant wait to return to this lovely apartment. All in all it would be difficult to be critical of this apartment. Colin and Nicola
We had a lovely week in a perfect spot. After reading previous reviews regarding the shower room we had no problem with it at all. Perhaps bath sheet towels would be an advantage.Perhaps some mood lighting in the evening as being on the ground floor you could leave your curtains open a little while longer on darker evenings to enjoy the nightview. Lighting now rather bright. Lovely comfy beds. A lovely quiet spot in a lovely part of Weymouth .
Michael
As always, our 8th stay, cannot fault it. The accommodation, the view, location and Steve always at hand and so helpful. Back again next years for two seperate dates.
Michael
This was our 7th stay. It is a lovely spacious Appartment, we always have Appt A, beautiful scenic view and a well maintained garden. Nice walks to Bowleaze Cove or into Weymouth itself. Also a reliable bus service just outside the property, going back in September and have booked 3 weeks in 2026.
Amanda
Cannot fault this lovely apartment. Hi spec, spacious, spotlessly clean. Great views. Lovely enclosed garden for the dog. Stephenowner is very helpful and kind
We enjoyed a most relaxing and peaceful break in this very spacious and comfortable ground floor apartment. A great panoramic view of the bay from the apartment and garden, also providing direct access to the promenade.
Alison
Amazing position on the sea front, lovely to hear the waves at night. The gentleman whos apartment it is lovely and couldn't be more helpful and accommodating.
Patricia
This apartment is absolutely beautiful. I cant think of a single bad thing to say about it. Being all on one level it would make a wonderful holiday venue for people with limited mobility, I know how difficult it can be to find such places. This property is ideally situated, the front windows have wonderful sea views and at the back its directly opposite the Sea Life Centre and the Brewers Fayre restaurant where we had a fantastic carvery lunch. A leisurely stroll along the prom will take you directly into the town centre with its interesting lanes filled with little shops, pubs, restaurants, Main Street shops and a cinema complex, It would take too long to list all of the interesting and fun places within easy reach of the apartment. Weymouths main beach is a proper old fashioned English seaside where in the summer months there are often attractions like donkey rides and Punch and Judy shows. Theres also a small funfair and a theatre at the town end of the beach. The owner of the apartment Stephen was so very helpful and helped us carry our luggage in when we got there and out when we left, and he assured us that if we had any issues at all we could phone him at any time. Another big bonus was the private parking right outside the apartment which certainly made life easier for us! I have no hesitation in thouroughly recommending it to everybody. Happy holidays.
Michael
What can I say. We have stayed here twice a year for the last 4 years, booked for 2025 and will be booking 2026. Its ideally placed, and the view from what I call my reading room is to die for. Stephen as always attentive and available if you have any concerns at all. Cannot wait.
Anthony
Stephen gave us a lovely welcome. The apartment was fabulous and of course the location top drawer.
Michael
This was our 5th stay. Its a beautiful property, the views are outstanding, lovely walks either way along the coast. Stephen as ever, on hand and helpful. Going back in September and have booked twice for 2025.
Amanda
The apartment has a lovely peaceful vibe and feels and is very looked after. Very comfortable beds. Awesome views. Kitchen fully equipped. Shower and bathroom are lovely. Lots of room, especially love the sun room if you want to chill out. The little extras, are lovely for eg, smart tv, tv in all bedrooms, sound system in the sunroom, sunbed recliners. Friendly, helpful owner. A perfect place, in a perfect spot. No complaints at all.
The property is immaculate and the owner is very pleasant and helped with unloading our luggage what a gent. we have stayed in different parts of this property for the last 2 years and they are amazing, I would highly recommend them and what great views as well.
Tracey

Location, location, location spectacular. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday despite the dreadfully wet weather. Look forward to returning at Christmas and March 2024. Highly recommended.
Deborah
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Apartment A, a great base to explore Weymouth and Portland. The ground floor accommodation is spacious, clean, wellequipped and comfortable. It was so lovely to hear the sound of the waves at night when we drifting off to sleep an experience you dont get very often. The owner Steve was very pleasant and helpful. We would highly recommend a stay in Weymouth Bay Apartment A and will definitely return in the future as we had such a delightful and enjoyable holiday. Debbie and Colin
Michael
Another week of perfect weather for us, the 2nd this year. You cannot question the outlook, it is breath taking, the appartment on whole is lovely. A couple of extras could make it perfect, a table with an umbrella would be good on the patio. The basic needs on arrival, non existent, milk, tea, coffee, toilet roll. Towels are in the description but not there, so be warned and take your own. Stephen as always, very accommodating. Have booked for 2 weeks next year.
The apartment was brilliant' it is huge with large windows, high ceilings and generous room sizes meaning on the couple of dull rainy days we had it still felt bright and airy. There is a beach right on the doorstep and the town center is about 15 min walk or a short bus ride from the apartment. The only downside was the very busy road where the parking was situated. We used the buses which are frequent rather than taking the car. We had a very good holiday there.
Lovely ground floor apartment facing the sea with the garden path leading through the garden gate to the pebble beach and gorgeous views of Weymouth Bay.
Andrew
Just brilliant cannot wait to go back
Michael
Second stay at this wonderful appartment. Steven as helpful as always. We were blessed with a week of sunshine, back in September, hopefully the same
Amanda
Amazing apartment. Very spacious with lovely furniture. Very clean. Great views. Great communication with the owner, who was very kind and friendly.
Comfortable and well equipped kitchen great having a garden for the dog and too sit in while relaxing with a drink while taking in the view going back in December would definately recommend this apartment.
Tracey
An excellent apartment, clean, spacious, the most wonderful position, with everything provided for a great week away. Very secure front garden for the dog. Great for my elderly parents, park up in the space provided at the rear, walk, or wheelchair, along the prom each day. We will be booking for next year. Best place we have stayed in a long time. Tracey, Val, Barry and Poppy.
This was a lovely stay. The apartment is beautiful! Wish I could buy it!
We found the apartment to be above and beyond our expectations, very well appointed and comfortable. We contacted Steven as instructed beforehand and Steven could not have been more helpful. We would definitely recommend this property and the owner, we look forward to returning. Deryk, Gloria and Hector.
The apartment was comfy and very generous in size, wonderfully located for dog walking both into town, towards Lulworth Cove, and inland as well. We noticed a few simple friendly touches missing, often provided at other holiday rentals, that would make guests feel more welcome 1. Liquid soap for washing hands when guests first arrive. We always bring our own but it is nice to have some immediately available if you need the loo after a long journey before youve unpacked. 2. Spare liner bags for use in the kitchen waste bin. We emptied the bins and put the waste outside on landfill collection day, but there was no spare to replace the used one. Luckily, we were able to reuse the old liner. 3. A visitors book where guests can leave helpful comments and tips such as favourite eating places. 4. Information on local bus times. Also, we found the saucepans were quite rusty and the nonstick lining had mostly peeled off, making them unsafe for use. When told about this, the owner, Steve, was very quick to rectify this and provide better ones, but we felt this should probably have been spotted during inspection between lets. The shower was not inside the bathroom as we had assumed from the wording in the description, but adjacent to it with no room to step out to dry off or leave your clothes. This meant you had to use the hallway with no real privacy from others who may want to use the hallway to get somewhere. All in all we quite enjoyed our stay at this wonderful location, but the few drawbacks mentioned above stopped us giving the place a top five star recommendation.
Immaculate apartment, very comfortable, excellent location. Owner very ameniable. If i had to nit pick it would be maybe put a few extra utensils and cooking dishes in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already rebooked for 2023.
This ground floor flat is lovely and bright, with very convenient parking even for a larger vehicle. The terrace and garden leading to the promenade is lovely, and quite secure for a smaller dog our Yorkshire Terrier couldn't get her head through the wrought iron gate, nor could she jump the wall. Two very large bedrooms, both with vanitiessinks, and a huge amount of storage the only improvement would be larger beds we prefer superkings. Very wellappointed kitchen with everything we needed, and a clean modern bathroom, with a separate shower unitroom. We enjoyed the two sitting rooms, one with the TV, and the other with the patio doors to the terrace. We both 'worked from home', from the large dining room table, and the wifi was really very good for our needs, including video calls. The owners are lovely and friendly and very helpful, and keep the flat and gardens beautifully. We look forward to a return visit.
Steve the owner went out of way to make us feel very welcome. We stayed the hottest week of the he year, with the patio door open there was a lovely sea breeze to keep all the rooms fresh and airy., not to mention the amazing views! The apartment is beautiful with large rooms and high ceilings making it very cool inside. We have booked for next year ! Thanks again Steve for all your kindness with my 87year ok mum.
Had a really great week in a fabulous apartment. It looked really clean at first glance, but on closer inspection there were some areas that weren't great, in particular the bathroom and the fridge. It would have been helpful to have a hairdryer provided. We didn't realise that there was not one in the house and had to nip down to Argos to buy one that we didn't really need. It would have been helpful to have a range of brochures for places to visit and things to do whilst we were there, but not a biggie, overall we had a great week and would be happy to return.
Lovely apartment in an ideal location. Spotlessly clean and great facilities
Lovely holiday rental has everything you need. Location difficult to beat! Thanks to Steve who owns the apartment friendly and approachable.
Michael
This was our first stay at Weymouth Bay apartment A, although we have been staying in Sutton Poyntz for over 30 years. We was not disappointed, spacious, clean, well equipped and with the most wonderful views. The owner was more than helpful and a comprehensive folder of information was available. We have booked twice for 2023.
