The Nook Reviews

Debbie
So comfy and welcoming, perfect location to just dump the car and walk everywhere, town and beach within 10mins walk. Everything you need for home from home holidaying! Thank you
We had a lovely week staying in The Nook. It was clean and comfortable. We liked that we could walk to the beach, shops etc .in a few minutes. The garden was ideal for the dogs. The second bedroom needed a mirror.
Cottage had everything we needed although milk in fridge wouldve been welcome when we arrived. Very comfy bed and plenty of storage space. Short walk down to harbour and good restaurants. Parking not ideal if you have a biggish vehicle like ours, manouvering needed because of cars and truck parked across road. On the whole had a good holiday, with good high walls round the cottage for the dogs, very secure.
Excellent property, not sure it is advertised as a short walk to town but it should be! Really easy walk to all amenites. Very comfortable and warm house with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Elliot
Great place near the harbour and Nothe Park. The house was super clean and nice comfortable bed and sofa. Parking was a must as it gets really busy on the streets. Would highly recommend and we'll be returning soon. Note to owner plates are too big for dishwasher they stop the spray arm, but they still get clean
Christine
I had the most lovely week staying at The Nook in Weymouth. Couple of minutes walk from the harbour and 5 mins away from the beach. Bus stop at the top of the road. Convince store just over the road.. The Nook has everything needed for a comfortable stay especially the bed! Would highly recommend thanks so much.
Amanda
Great location to be able to walk into town in 5 mins. Nice secure garden for our two dogs and off street parking making life that bit easier. House was well equipped and would happily stay again.
The kettle is a little temperamental but other than that everything was perfect.
We enjoyed our stay at The Nook, the house was clean , with good facilities and found the property very dog friendly with a lovely garden for our dog Tess. However we feel that a really nice to have after a long journey, would be a small welcome pack, perhaps containing some milk, a few tea bags and sugar.
This was our second visit to Weymouth and we weren't disappointed, the location was extremely close to the Quay with easy access. The off road parking was great as the roads are small. The small enclosed garden was perfect for us and our dog, whilst the accommodation suited our needs perfectly too.
Thank you Peter & Andrea for making our stay very enjoyable from when we arrived early due to a storm and when we left. Any problems we had were quickly dealt with. The Nook is very comfy a home from home with everything you require for a holiday in Weymouth and off road parking a bonus a big bonus.
May be a good idea to remove cobwebs from the corner of the double bedroom before the next guests arrive , otherwise not too bad .
Beautiful little home, secure garden is a bonus and thoughtful as our little lady loves exploring outside new toys were discovered left from previous paw friends off road parking was fab in the area. All through out has a beautiful home from home feeling, all essentials were covered and most things were in place if you had forgotten I.e dog bowls treats decoration was lovely and homely with a little quirkiness which we loved. With a short walk to and from both Weymouth main town beach and castle cove of 10mins its ideally located. We will definitely look at staying again and would recommend to family friends already have

We've had a lovely time at The Nook. We are grandma, grandad, a 3 year old and a 7 year old, and 2 mini long haired Dachsunds. So having a secure garden was essential. Access to the secure garden for us all through patio doors off the lounge was perfect. A very big plus was having an off road parking space. The kitchen was great, with everything you would need, plus extras like dog bowls, treats, and toys. A noticeboard with suggestions of where to visit and an Information Book. As well as a bathshower room upstairs, having a downstairs toilet was a bonus. Comfortable beds and good sized bedrooms. Generous loungediner, plus Freeview tv, a bonus for kiddies tv and evening films for us plus games and books. A very short walk to a kebabfish and chip shop, cafe, and small supermarket. As well as an activity park and a pub. About a 10 minute stroll down to the main shopping centre, harbour and beaches. So walking back up was more of a challenge, but it was worth it. You can drive down, we saw various parking areas, but we enjoyed the challenge. We all throughly enjoyed our holiday at The Nook, and we're already looking at dates for our next visit.
Natalie
We absolutely loved our stay at The Nook! The owner was incredibly accommodating, as we encountered delays with our air travels getting to the UK. The Nook was perfect for our family, two young kids ages 3 & 5. The outdoor space was lovely, the convenience of a spot to park the car, and the proximity to Weymouth waterfront area was amazing! We would definitely recommend this cottage to stay, it was a great space, clean and all we needed for our stay!
Michelle
The property is well decorated, has good bedding, quality towels and crockery. It is very clean, has a pretty little garden which is also very clean and tidy. The property has offstreet parking, which is a must in the area. About a 510 min walk to the marina, with all the shops, pubs and restaurants.
We had a lovely stay. Fantastic base for Weymouth. Once parked we didnt drive again as could walk everywhere from property. Great for our two Labrador dogs. Lovely little tranquil garden Highlight in listing that parking shared with neighbour and to leave room. Also highlight you have hairdryer and hoover in property. Plus only stones throw from a convenience store, cafe and takeaways. Need bin upstairs in bathroom. Tv had no bbc channels and WiFi password on property folder not correct Recommend a full length mirror somewhere in property. Mirror above dressing table set too high.
WiFi password wrong, had to take it off of the router. A slip mat for the shower bath would be very helpful has it is very slippery, also food waste bin should have a bin liner provided.

This cottage is thoughtfully decorated the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the walled garden a really lovely example of what you can do with a small space Little touches like chocolates on the pillows dog biscuits and umbrellas showed that the owner really cared
