Fabulous apartment in a perfect location in the harbour.

The Apartment we have stayed in twice now, the situation is stunning and apartment generally very clean. However many areas of maintenance now needed, rusty metal units in shower, mastic areas in showers very grimy, very rusty inside dishwasher, a blood stained inner pillow cover. The worst for us not owners fault the noise from the above apartment we had never experienced all week at our previous stay. Whilst we were there we had 2 separate families, both with children which wasnt an issue before and most people are respectful of others feelings but not here. Stomping and running upstairs until gone midnight from their apartment, not just people walking around but clear jumping. We would expect general noise, coming and going etc but this was excessive and into the early hours at times. We wont return not because of apartment which was lovely as is the owner, when we had an issue with main door lock she promptly sorted. Holidays you need restful times and good sleep, but sadly 2 families within a week clearly werent prepared to make sure their whole family respected other peoples enjoyment. We used to take our now older family when they were children to apartments, would never of allowed them to be running around and thudding up and down at any point so not to disturb anyone. Interestingly when we passed the first family on the stairs moving out as they left, we passed a number of people with suit cases including children, yet the apartments dont sleep this many!
Lovely spacious apartment. Very clean and well decorated. Location is as perfect as could possibly be with entrance just off the harbour and outstanding views over the harbour. Contact with manager very good and precise. Only issues we had were the beds were not the most comfortable and having to check out at 9.30am whilst being expected to strip the beds and leave the apartment as it was found was a bit tight

What a superb apartment. We had a fantastic time staying at the old coastguard apartment 2 all bedrooms are spacious with fantastic ensuites. The view is just amazing and the living area and kitchen had ample room for all of us. Ww will definitely be back.

Had an amazing stay at the Old Coastguard's! Perfect location, fabulous accommodation! Only downside, I wish someone had told us about the 530ish bin collectionsdeliveries that felt like every morning! So loud, it woke the whole family!
The property had everything that we were looking for both in terms of its location and the facilities within the apartment itself which was both spacious and well maintained. We would definitely consider staying there again on any future visits to Weymouth

The apartment is really lovely with everything you need and what i call proper beds in Cornwall most cottages have low wooden cheap beds but in this apartment everything is top of the range furnishings it is in a beautiful position right alongside the Harbour with a very good cafe underneath which is perfect for breakfast or lunch But you also have some very nice pubs and restaurants just alongside the harbour which you are able to walk to

We all loved our stay at the Old Coastguard 2 apartment. Our party consisted of two families equalling 4 adults and 4 children. We found we had enough space, there were no stairs in the actual apartment for me to worry about with my toddler, it was nice to have 3 bathrooms, and everything was beautifully done and spotlessly clean. The apartment was well located with short walks to both the beach and the town, and had beautiful views across the water. We've already booked again for next year.

Its a lovely apartment ideal for our family celebrations. It feels like top notch hotel accommodation because the bedrooms and ensuites are so spacious and luxurious. The living room and kitchen are huge with beautiful views of the harbour and everything was spotless when we arrived. We all parked in the Pavillion car park which had spaces and is in easy reach. Nikki who looks after the apartments and cafe is very helpful and friendly. Everything runs smoothly with no fuss. We had a great timethank you.
One of the first thoughts that we had when we entered this apartment was, is there anywhere in Weymouth with a better location and presented to the very high standard. We came to to the conclusion that this must be the best accommodation that Weymouth can offer. The apartment is large, spacious, light and has great views to watch the world go by. The furnishings are simple modern and practicable. We had four adults and two young children 5 & 6 in our group the kids got the largest bedroom with a huge family bathroom consisting of a large shower and standalone bath. The two other rooms were both large with very good sized ensuites. Ultimately everyone could find their own space. The kitchen has all the equipment you need. The only negative that i can find with this booking is that the on street parking permit is a waste of time, it would make more sense to have a permit for the Pavilion car park knowing what the parking is like at Weymouth, i purchased directly with the council two permits for the week at a cost of 38 each, we parked all week in the Pavilion car park with no problems.
Despite being many weeks into Covid 19, the level of customer service from Sykes is at best dreadful. Repeated automated emails that cannot be responded to and when a person does send an email the advice is so narrow it requires further comms which take further weeks to progress. We have tried on no less than 6 occasions for up to 30 minutes to get through via phone, to no avail. I accept and are sure the response will state these are unprecedented times, however after 4 months the vast majority of other companies and industries have adjusted to the new world. I dont see what value Sykes are adding to this process, a booking fee is the cost, but what do you bring? Moving forward I am looking for independent holiday homes to remove this wasted time and elongation of resolving issues 8 weeks down the line, still unresolved. In terms of the property and local ownership, this was excellent. Great location between harbour and beach, spacious rooms and a great view to watch the boats pass by. All controls were in place within the property and by the local council around the harbour and the manager was first class, warm, friendly and always on hand to address any small queries. This paradox in customer service reinforces my question, what do Sykes bring?
This is the 2nd consecutive year we've taken this apartment and the 3rd different property we've rented on the harbour. For us it is by far the best. It's well maintained and well run. Everything 'works' and the location is superb. No doubt we'll be back

Great apartment. Very new with excellent facilities. Even bigger than the pictures suggest. Lovely venue. Great views. Shops, pubs and restaurants very near by. Parking can be a slight headache, but is not a problem in a quietsafe part of town.

The apartment is in a fantastic location with a lovely view across the old harbour. It is really well equipped and had everything we needed and more. It was left spotlessly clean by Nikki and she was incredibly helpful to us when we arrived. It's a really lovely place to stay and will probably get a visit from us again in the future!

We all enjoyed our stay. The location was very good and the accommodation was excellent.
This was our 4th consecutive year staying on the harbour and the third different property. This has been the best so far by a long way. I guess it being relatively new helps but to be fair but it's been furnished and finished to a high standard. If there is a niggle it's with limited parking in zone F as it can be tricky to find a spot whereas the permit on the other side of the harbour lets you park up on the Nothe etc. That for me was the only issue. The cafe on the ground floor run by Nikki and her staff is lovely. You get a discount and is well worth a visit. We all loved it and have booked it for 2020 already
