What can I say? This was our 3rd year in this lovely house. Extremely well appointed and great for hosting visitors. The location is very quiet while also being in easy walking distance of the town centre and beach.

Mermaid House is ideal. Clean, comfortable well equipped and in a good position. We were very pleased with it.
Enjoyed our stay in this beautifully presented property. Wellequipped in every way, everything we needed in the kitchen, comfortable beds, lovely seating in the garden. And just a very short walk to the shore. Just one small niggle was creaky floorboards in one of the bedrooms and on stairs, but we learnt to jump over to avoid them. Wouldn't be troubled by burglars in the night! The black rubbish bin outside disappeared one night, but a couple of days later, was replaced by two more, one green, one brown but that was probably a local council problem! Would thoroughly recommend .
Shelves in kitchen cupboards too high for us to access. No steps provided. No dish for use in microwave, just 2 lids.
The mermaid was a lovely place to stay to visit Weymouth. Everything was great both inside and out, the garden was fab when the sun was up to relax in. The mattress was a bit soft for me and the sofas could have had a higher back due to my dodgy back, but otherwise great. The welcome pack and milk was a really nice touch, thank you. No need to drive as so much is close by and walkable or 'busable'. The Greedy Seagull restaurant has great food, definitely worth a visit.

Lovely property, we've stayed a couple of times now. It was a shame the freezer hadn't been mended, we had to throw away some stuff that had thawed, came home to read a review from August saying there had been a problem with the freezer, which I assume hadn't been fixed.

Everything pretty great and would stay again. Just a note you may want to have a look at the freezer, kept icing up and we had to manually remove ice several times as the fridge alarm kept going off.

Another lovely stay in this well maintained house. Everything is provided from a welcome hamper to any possible kitchen utensil you may need. Location is great for the stunning Newtons cove, beautiful harbour and the beach and town is 10 mins walk away.
This is our second family holiday at Mermaid cottage and will be booking next year as well. Extremely well thought out, comfortable and well equipped. The location is quiet, while being close to to the amenities. My 90 year old mother asked if it would be possible to put a handrail by the front steps. Otherwise perfect.

Fantastic location for a family break in Weymouth. Walking distance to the town as well as the Fort and green spaces. Modern and well equipped property.
Lovely place, the only inconvenience was no recycling bin outside, had to drive to recycling centre for bottles, and also to list what you provide as we brought to much like iron,hairdryer, Fans etc but overall was a lovely place close to harbour and beech.

Lovely cottage, carefully put together decor, can tell a lot of thought has gone into making it a unique property. Kitchen very well equipped, nice to have specially chosen matching items rather than a mix match of plates, cutlery etc. Useful to have dishwasher and washing machine. Location very good for getting to harbour and Weymouth town centre but area also very quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Probably one of the best holiday lets we have stayed in! Really well done out and spotlessly clean. Also one of the best equipped kitchens we have come across. Really great location close to Brewers Quay where there are plenty of pubs and restaurants. Far enough away for it to be super quiet at night. We had a lovely a lovely stay. Would highly recommend.

We travelled to Weymouth by train, to minimise our carbon footprint, dissapointed to note there was no facilities to recycle papers, bottles etc, except by walking to Azda, not too far away, but for me in my late 70s carrying recycling there was not an option that appealed to me, so it went in the general waste, pretty much obviating our carbon reducing efforts.

Wow! We could not recommend this accommodation enough, a beautiful location, stunning house with everything you need for a perfect holiday. Very close to local amenities and a 2 minute walk to Newtons cove which is great for a swim, only a short walk to the famous Sandy beach. The relaxing garden includes deck chairs and comfortable seating space while the attention to detail throughout the house is amazing we loved the mermaid theme! Mermaid house was absolutely stunning. The facilities in the house were fantastic and met our needs. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children, it never felt that we were on top of each other, the kitchen is simply amazing and has lots of equipment and utensils should you need them. The garden was an added bonus to the house, a fab little sun trap where we enjoyed our breakfasts and rested after days on the beach. Location was perfect for us, a short walk to Brewers Quay and a gentle stroll to the beach. Definitely a 1010.

The house was exactly as advertised and expected. It was extremely clean and a great location with our 5 year old having no difficulty walking to the harbour and beach from here. No complaints but do be aware that 1 there's a washing machine but no drier, there is a washing line and pegs so no problem in the summer at least 2 the parking is not immediately outside and could be a bit tricky with a large car like our XC90 if the car park was full. As it was there were only ever 2 cars in the car park so it was no problem for us.

Excellent property recently refurbished to a high standard and in a great location, quiet area but only 5 mins walk to the Brewers Quay area and 15 mins walks to the main Weymouth beach. Very child friendly. The three tiered garden was no problem for our two year old however he did like to dig in the stones ! It would be useful to have a high chair and stair gates available. I would highly recommend this property

I dont have a bad word to say about this lovely house it was just perfect, it ... I dont have a bad word to say about this lovely house it was just perfect, it was all brand new and so clean and beautifully decorated etc on top of this the location was amazing, it was literally a 3 min walk to the harbour and then about 10 to the beach, there was also an amazing coastal walk just minutes from the house and in the evenings groups of people tended to swim in the rocky cove near the house the boys were impressed by the TV which was a Smart TV btw with Netflix etc which was a nice surprise as we just like to watch movies in the evenings after having been out all day exploring Durdle Dor was by far our favourite day out which was about 30mins from the house it was just a perfect house, and we all slept so well far better than at home as much quieter Thank You
This property was beautiful I was told it had a new owner and they had definitely decorated and furnished to a very high standard, including a dishwasher that was not listed so a bonus. We were meant to have our granddaughter with us and there were even protectors on the edges. There were books, games and even jigsaws

Thank you so much, one of the best holiday houses we have ever been to. Very highly recommend . Was spotless and decorated really lovely . Just had everything we needed, it was perfect. The only small thing missing was a bath mat! The bath was very slippy when showering and needed something in it .
