Kingeswic Cottage Reviews

This was our third time visiting the cottage, we love it there so lovely and local to all beaches and places to visit
The property wasnt very clean and was run down. It needs a deep clean and some maintenance. The garden was also neglected. The beds were clean and comfortable. I can provide photos if required. Such a shame as it was my first holiday with my two adult sons. Also the shop advertised as just around the corner has been closed for years. Most of the information in the welcome pack was very useful but Sadley we wont be booking again.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed and it was very comfortable.
Lovely cottage and well furnished and maintained for guest comfort.

Cozy, well equipped & thoughtfully presented cottage. Everything as described on Sykes. We stayed here for the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike & enjoyed a lovely week. Welcome hamper & fizz was a lovely treat, thank you. We previously stayed in Troopers Cottage in Frome with the same owners, so we had reassurance that the cottages are a high standard. We werent disappointed. We enjoyed walks around Weymouth, Isle of Portland, The New Forest, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Recommended & would stay again. Thank you.

Had a wonderful stay and Anna was great sorting any problems we had. Place was great, loved the hot tub and would definitely use again if we come back. 5 stars all round and enjoyed the welcome hamper too.Only thing I would add is that there is a better place to park as there is aways parking. If you park on shrubbery lane just after the school there is a cut through to the high street called collins lane. 2 min walk to house max. Thanks again anna for being a super star.
We had a lovely stay at Kingeswic cottage. Its was beautiful cottage and we were very comfortable there. On arrival the cottage was clean and presented beautifully with a sweet little hamper in the kitchen. Unfortunately dew to the bad weather we didnt get the chance to use the hot tub but it did look very inviting. The garden was pretty and dog friendly. If I had to find a fault, with my arm being twisted, it would be that we could get the grill to work properly. Everything else was prefect. Thank you all for a wonderful holiday xx
I stayed here at the back end of December, for our wedding anniversary with our 2 boys and dog, a lovely local pub, great walks to the beach and walking on the beach. A quick 10minute drive into Weymouth town centre, the addition of the hot tube is brilliant, being out there under the stars listing to the sea was amazing we will be staying here again.

Fabulous cottage in Wyke Regis. Kingeswic cottage is very comfortable clean and has everything you need. The hot tub was great especially after long walks. We had a super welcome pack waiting for us when we arrived, which was a lovely surprise. The only downside was the parking. Often we had to park several minutes away from the property but this wasnt a problem.

Had a fantastic stay at Kingsewic cottage. A historic cottage in a historic town. Only a short walk from amazing views of Portland and Chesil Beach and a short drive into Weymouth. The cottage has all modern amenities, was clean and had a lovely hot tub for relaxing evenings. Will be looking at booking another stay in the future.

What can I say. It is a fantastic cottage, very clean, everything and more than you could ever need. Felt like home from home. The hot tub was used everyday, was like having a good massage after a long day site seeing. Parking was ok up the hill opposite. Loved the well established garden and the seagulls kept us company. My dog settled in well, plenty of places to roam and investigate. To top it off was the lovely welcome hamper and milk in the fridge, also not forgetting the the hot tub salts. Highly appreciated. I would return regularly and will be recommending Kingswic Cottage to my family and close friends.
The cottage was lovely. The welcome hamper was very inviting. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was much enjoyed. We had a lovely holiday. However, there was a definite doggie smell in the living room, which did diminish as the week progressed with proper ventilation. Prior to hoovering the the living room carpet, to try to get rid of the smell, the Hetty needed emptying. The carpet under the rug was covered in what looked like long black doghair. The two living room throw spent the week in a plastic bag as they were malodorous. This failure to clean up after dogs could have had dire consequences for anyone with an allergy to dog fur.

Lovely cottage & lovely few days away The only thing we found is that the fencing of the garden at the bottom isnt very secure for dogs. Also no baby gate to stairs to stop dogs going upstairs which wasnt a problem for us as ours know not to but I think it would be helpful. Loved it. Thankyou so much
Lovely, clean and stylish cottage and in a good location, has a homely feel to it. Nice secure garden for dog owners, was great to be able to jump into the hot tub after longs days exploring. Would definitely stay again thank you.
No door on the stairs and top bedroom made it difficult to keep the dog from going upstairs but other than that it was fantastic. Great cottage in brilliant location and very responsive host
Samantha
We had an amazing week, the cottage was very homely and comfortable with a very well kitted out kitchen. We loved the hot tub and the dogs were very happy with the surrounding walks. We were very lucky with the weather and managed to do a lot of exploring. Very very happy, thank you so much.
Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, a lovely relaxing short break. We would recommend to anyone coming to the area.
The property was fantastic, comfortable with all amenities needed. The welcome hamper was so thoughtful and unexpected. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
Amazing place! Amazing location.
We had a beautiful time away at this beautiful cottage! And cant wait to come back
Firstly thank you for providing all accurate information. One thing I think that would benefit your future clients is if people realise how close the proximity to the beach really is! It's brilliant, it's just straight up the hill around the corner and down the lane. I couldn't really tell how close even on Google maps and I couldn't understand what East Fleet and West Fleet was until we got to the beach and could understand that Chesil was directly across the stretch of water. Our pup absolutely enjoyed it all as much as we did. We brought his crate with us so he could sleep in it at night as he normally does. The garden was a fabulous bonus, I can't tell you how many properties we looked at that didn't have a stretch of garden or grass. Your cottage ticked everything we needed and the garden was an essential. The bed was super comfy, bathroom was spot on. We didn't intend on staying in for dinners and took some of your recommendations for eating out with the dog being allowed too. Thank you and we would love to return. Kind Regards Marie Rich and Pup Motley
Property lovely and clean, bedding and towels were top class quality. Kitchen facilities were everything you would require. Lovely sized garden for two dogs. Shame that the pub and shop have closed down. Easy to get to any place from Wyke Regis.
Lovely cozy house, we felt so comfortable during our week here, everything you might need has been thought of, garden is an added bonus and our children enjoyed it even though it was mostly chilly during our stay! Coffee machine and treats on arrival lovely too We walked along the Rodwell trail to Weymouth, my only comment is on Weymouth itself there is a lot of traffic and busy roads. We enjoyed the more scenic walk the other side to Billy Winters but the children really liked the sandy beach at Weymouth. BTW back door and bathroom tap a bit stiff!
Lovely cottage, fab for the dogs as nice garden for them to nip in and out The quality of the bedding, towels and throws were beautiful House has everything you need, very well equiped. Tastfully decorated and lovely and clean. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay in this lovely cottage. First time in Weymoith and it certainly won't be the last. The cottage was well equipped, the back garden was great for the dogs and it felt like a home from home.
Lovely appointed cottage, 25 min walk from Weymouth harbour, 40 min walk from Portland. Very nice garden, clean and light place with nearby supermarkets and a few shops. Also it is 2 minute walk to the Fleet by Chesil beach . Thank you for a nice stay.
We had such a lovely stay in Weymouth at Kingeswic Cottage. Lovely memories made! Our puppy Hugo especially loved the doggyfriendly beach. Comfortable rooms , cosy house & tranquil garden. Cant wait to visit again. Davis family
