Connaught Gardens Reviews

Lovely quiet location. No traffic noise at all. Didn't even know that we had neighbours. Entry key box fiddly, perhaps would like a drop of oil. Property nice and clean. Window cleaner came whilst we were out but windows left streaky and dirty. Worse than before. Nice to have some empty cupboards in kitchen, space for our own bits and pieces. Toaster only managed to toast the middle of the bread. Could have had a brighter light in bathrooms for shaving purposes and shaver points would have made life easier. If we had stayed all year we still wouldn't have had time to read all the books and magazines. This was one of the nicest properties we have stayed in over our 40 years of self catering. Thank you.

What a lovely house, looks small from the outside, but when you go in, its so big, Comfortable sofas, Good size kitchen, everything you need in there. All the bedrooms are a good size. Great location, you can walk into town, or just short drive to some most beautiful places.. Would definitely recommend Connaught Gardens. Thank You..
Richard
Excellent, central location with a spacious layout.
We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. Everything was as it said on the website. Perfect location, nice, quiet estate and close to the harbour. The only other feedback we would give was that the bedding in the twin room and the double room was extremely creased, which was a little off putting. It would also be nice to have some sun loungers for the garden. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this house to others.
Vanessa
Lovely home for our stay in Weymouth 4 adults and 2 young children. House was picked for it's location being on the same road as our relations, which was perfect for us. Very clean, spacious and comfortable and very well equipped we also used high chair and stair gate which were both clean and easy to use. I would definitely recommend this property and look forward to another stay here .

We had a lovely week, just a couple of minor things. The water pressure is very low in both showers, not sure if anything can be done about this. Also, we had a problem with WiFi but the box is in a locked cupboard so had to contact dreams cottages, which was a bit frustrating. As it turned out the problem sorted itself out so then had to phone and cancel! All in all though a lovely place, would def recommend

Connaught Gardens is a very spacious and clean property in a quiet neighbourhood. Its about a 10 minute walk to a local Coop. It is well located for visits to Portland, Chesil Beach and Weymouth itself. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
The house and the neighbourhood is beautiful and quiet. I absolutely recommend it for 4 to 5 people. The only things I have to mention negatively are all related to cleaning and the maintenance of kitchen and bathroom equipment. On arrival there were crumbs on the floor, hairs in the shower and very dirty windows. There is also mould in the shower. The dishwasher needs deep cleaning and new salt and rinse liquid. The dryer needs cleaning. The tableware was not very clean on arrival. There was no towel at the downstairs toilet, no surplus rolls of toilet paper, only one kitchen towel, 3 tabs for the dishwasher. And except a very dirty hoover no other cleaning materials were available. My daughter found dead insects behind the bedside tables in the small double room that she removed. All this issues need to be resolved. The photos in the advert show a nicely decorated house. In reality half of the things are not there or hidden in cupboards. This was our 3rd house of Sykes and before we never had issues regarding cleanliness. Therefore I was a bit disappointed.
We really enjoyed our stay at Connaught Gardens, I was actually at the opening of the show house there when working in Weymouth. Spacious and everything there for your comfort and more, and what a selection of books Wow! better than some libraries. We will hopefully stay next year when we are coming to visit our family who live locally a shame its not to let during the winter.
This was our 3rd stay 2nd two week break staying here and loved every minute. Feels like our 2nd home now. We would move here tomorrow if we could. Perfect location, especially for cycling. Close enough to amenities but quite enough to not have any disturbances. Lovely peaceful culdesac We will be returning next year if not sooner.
A lovely house, very spacious and in a good position for walking into Weymouth. However it's an older house and does not have many plug sockets so the use of extension leads is required which in a rental property isn't ideal.
A superb house with all facilities you could ask for ie closeness to the seafront and shops. Really happy except for no towel in downstairs loo and the biggest gripe was the Internet. Constantly going off and having to turn it off and on again, and not being able to stream anything. If the Internet was sorted it would be a 5 star house.

Fabulous house and garden . We had luxury living for the week. Highly recommended and would not hesitate to book here again
Very happy with property with the single exception of TERRIBLE WIFI. It kept dropping out and resetting it made no difference. I see no reason why reasonable WiFi cannot be provided. It did frustrate us all.
Absolutly love this house. Feels like you are 'at home' and comfortable while there. Only have two very minor suggestions not Criticisms. 1 the ensuit bathroom in main bedroom would benefit with some sort of shelving to place shampooshower gels on and not have to have them on the floor. 2 either having a shaver plug 2pin put in or make it known on the discription that you need to take an adapter plug. As I said, minor things to what is a lovely place to stay. We will be back again next year or sooner if we can. Shame it's not available over Christmass
Had an excellent time in Connaught Gardens. Perfect space for a young family to relax in over the week
House was very clean and spacious. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Good showers in bathrooms. 15 minute walk into town and to harbour. Very quiet area. House was perfect for us. Just be aware that you need to take dishwasher tabs and extra toilet rolls as not enough provided for week. Also no washing machine detergent.
In quiet, residential area, within walking distance of the harbour. The house was very clean, although we did find a pair of canvas shoes under the coffee table and an exercise type headband near the sofa. Excellent selection of books and games. However, a lot of the house was locked up, which gave it a strange feeling of not being welcoming. It was advertised as a 3 bedroom house, but it actually has 4 the 4th one is locked, as was the loft door, the cupboard under the stairs, the top of the wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom, most of the cupboards in the laundry room. There was no access to the garage either, so when the dining room light pinged as we switched it on, we could not reset the fuse box and were left without lights in most of the downstairs for the rest of the evening. This was speedily fixed the next morning. Outside, the garden is pleasant, but the plastic furniture a let down. A barbecue was not availablethere was one in the lovely summer house .but , again, this was out of bounds.
Loved the house ,would love to go back one day, everything perfect.
A lovely smart house which was spotless on arrival. A conservatory and pretty garden were a bonus. A home from home while returning to visit relatives.
Barbara
We had a lovely holiday in a great house. The garden was fantastic to eat in and to allow our toddler outside. The location was quiet. The walk uphill from the harbour was steep but fine for all of us as we are quite fit. Very clean and well presented.
The house was very comfortable and very clean. The facilities were all to a good level and we really enjoyed our break, in fact we would happily go back to this house again if we were in the area. The house was within easy distance to the beach and town, it was also in a nice and quite area. The house was even cleaned half way through our stay to freshen up the house which was very unusual and appreciated.
Amanda
Lovely and clean and comfortable property. Enjoyable week.
The accommodation was well appointed throughout . The house was spacious and was ideal for the 3 generations of our family. The garden was attractive.
